As always, I have been a hopeless blogger for the past few months. My back is STILL bothering me and I spent the summer in Scotland with my family, escaping from the hideous heat in Japan and generally taking it easy. But September is here and things have got to change!
Have you checked out the newest NiNi concepts line,'Jackson & Lulu' ,yet? I had a lot of fun over the summer coming up with ideas for how to use these papers and embellishments and want to share! There will be sketches, layout ideas, cards and more coming up in the next few weeks...
OK - 2010 is practically one third over and I haven't posted at all! So where have I been? What have I been doing?
Well, one of the reasons I haven't posted is because I broke my back! Carrying too many heavy scrapbooking tools, perhaps? It's not as serious as it sounds, it's "only" a hairline fracture in fact but it HURTS!
I've also been working on the latest series of NiNi papers, to be revealed very soon but just to give you a hint - we've gone 12 x 12 this time!
Anyway the back is slowly recovering and the other day I saw this from my balcony - maybe it's a sign!
Just a quick post to share a peak at the new NiNi papers! Our latest collection - "Party Pieces" is perfect for the festive season : ) For more information and to see the whole collection check out the NiNi blog!
I'm also really excited to share that all the NiNi papers are now available to buy online from Shalala Mart which incidentally if you're ever in Osaka is well worth a visit! The store is full of hidden gems - I had a great time shopping after class last weekend!
Just a few photos from the event... I so enjoyed working with Stacy - she was an inspiration! And our two assistants, Rika and Keiko were the best! It was wonderful to see so many old friends and to make new ones :)
I've been back in Japan now after a wonderful, relaxing summer in Scotland for just over 2 weeks now and I promise I'll share some photos later but business first!
"Guerilla Workshop" in Osaka on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19th, 2009 (afternoon)
Are you attending CKU-J? Or another special event this autumn? NiNi concepts, in collaboration with Shalala Mart, have created a delightful project to help you record these precious memories. In the class you'll learn how to create an adorable accordian mini book with a twist, using only 2 sheets of cardstock, NiNi concepts newest paper line "Tea Break", some custom designed accents and some clever application of Glossy Accents, ready for the event. This mini book is no one hit wonder however - it's a format you can use again and again!
Shalala Mart is a fabulous scrapbooking store located in Suita, just 10 minutes by train and on foot from Shin Osaka Station, so why not drop by and take the class? I can't wait to see you there!
Just a quick post as I'm on vacation in Europe right now but wanted to give all you English speaking scrappers in Japan some more information about CKU in Japan next month. I will be interpreting for Stacy Julian - can't wait!!!
